The Story of GTP
THE TIMELINES REVOLUTION

Welcome to West Africa’s Leading print and Textiles Brand – GTP. GTP is the first indigenous Ghanaian textile brand launched unto the Ghanaian market in Jan 1966 by the late Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana’s first President.

GTP, as a VLISCO GROUP member, inherited the wax-printing process from Vlisco Company based in Helmond. However, the GTP brand has moved on from the traditional process to making wax prints without wax; rather using the Rotary Screen-Printing Machines.
Over the years, GTP has grown to become a truly local brand with full design teams coming from Africa, full productions done in Ghana, and the importation of some of its raw materials (cotton) from the West Africa market. This has supported the brand mission to provide made in Africa products and products made by Africans. This supports the brand’s aim of providing a more distinctive African DNA with premium quality to its consumers.

GTP is designed, printed, distributed, and marketed by Tex Styles Ghana Limited (TSGL), a member of the global Textile giant VLISCO BV headquartered in Helmond, The Netherlands. The Company is located in the Heavy Industrial Area, Block No 22, Plot No 7, Tema, C4, Ghana.
